Hmmm, seems I can't stay very motivated to even jot down a few words over here everyday. Anyway, on last Thursday I went for a long walk with the hubby.

Friday I ran for half an hour in a local park, Saturday I wasn't feeling too well so I took a rest day.

Sunday, I got about halfway through my run and started to feel like complete crap! I don't know what happened, but I had a slight allergic reaction to something and had to go home and take some benadryl.

Got up Tuesday morning to lift (upper body). Went for another walk last night.

I feel pretty good so far, so I'll have to start logging some serious miles in. I should also probably find a few 5K's just to gauge my speed. I really don't do any speedwork ever, and I haven't run a race of any kind in quite a while.

So far this week, I've worked Arms and then Legs this morning with my trainer. On Saturday I have a chest and back workout to do.

I'm only meeting my trainer once a week now for weight workouts and then I'm doing 2 on my own. I also started my training program for the Army 10-miler this week. It has 3 days of running, 3 days of cross training and 1 rest day. It doesn't seem too bad, but with the weather we've been having here, running outside is downright unbearable! It's suppossed to cool down toward the weekend, so that will be nice. I just need to get on some kind of a schedule where all my hard workouts are in the mornings.

Morning...What's that?

This whole "waking up early to workout" thing isn't going so well. Looks like I'll be running on the Montour Trail later this afternoon and then off to the gym for my weight workout. The only problem with lifting in the afternoon is that the gym gets really hot and it's a lot more crowded. Maybe I'll just wait until tomorrow morning...

I signed up for virtual training for the Army 10-miler. It's a Galloway program, so hopefully it will help to keep me on schedule. I always seem to do better when I can follow a list or a schedule. Maybe I should incorporate that into other aspects of my life...

The leg workout was a killer, but surprisingly I didn't feel too bad the next day. On Friday, I also ran for 31 minutes on the
Montour Trail.

Update coming soon...

I know I linked my other blog here, but I haven't had a chance to type in my weight workouts yet. I'm not very good at this keeping track of workouts thing...
